Beginning Beading Classes
For the summer months we will be offering beginning beading sessions
on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00. The
reservation fee for these
sessions is $10.00. You will receive a 50% discount on
your purchase that
day to a maximum or your reservation fee. Already
discounted items
excluded from the discount.
Some ideas of what you can request to learn in these open
format sessions
are basic bead stringing, earrings, peyote stitch,
herringbone stitch, crochet
beaded rope, and beaded bezels just to name a few.

newsletter for available dates.
Note: It is very important that you let us know if you
are unable to attend when you are scheduled for any class session.
We frequently have more requests than spaces. If you let us know you are
unable to attend then we can offer your space to another person.
Project Based Classes

Bead Embroidery: Bezeled Cabochon:
Create a beaded
bezel around a cabochon and then embellish the entire piece with
simple bead embroidery techniques to transform the cabochon into a dramatic pin
or pendant.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on June 21st; The first day of Summer!
This class is $25
This class will be rescheduled due to a family emergency.

Make a fun and fanciful little
panel while learning various bead embroidery techniques and stitches.
When you are done with your panel you will have a great piece of artwork to turn
into a mini purse or
a decorative wall hanging.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on June 28th, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and
is $25.00.
Kits will be available from the instructor for a nominal fee.

Embellished
Ladder Stitch Bracelet:
Learn the basic ladder stitch and then turn it on its ear with embellishments
along the sides
of the bracelet. Once you finish your first bracelet you will want to do others
just to see how the
various combinations of bead color and finish combine for completely new looks.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on July 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and is
$25.

Make Your Own
Findings; Part 1 and 2.
Pictured is a collection of some of the techniques you will learn in this
ALL DAY
class.
The first picture illustrates the techniques for the morning session and the
second picture shows the techniques for the afternoon session.
You will learn to use lots of tool and work with inexpensive copper wire.
The afternoon session will also include techniques using a
small butane torch and fine silver wire.
The class is from 9:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon with an hour
break for lunch.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on July 11th and is $50.
NOTE: This class is full but we are taking names for a wait list in case
of cancellations and for the next time it is offered..

Beaded Heart
Pin:
You will learn a variety of wirework techniques in this class including making a
pin back, shaping,
stamping and texturing. By combining these techniques with a collection of focal
and accent beads
you will make a mini piece of sculpture you can wear.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on July 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and
is $25.

Beaded Baubles:
Using 3 mm, 4 mm, and 6 mm
fire polish beads you will learn to transform them from their simple
unassuming form into wonderful beaded beads. Make a full spectrum of these
beads and mix and
match them into earrings, a bracelet or a necklace. These beads are very
addicting to make,
and a very quick project.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on August 2nd, 5:00 to 8:00 pm and is
$25.00.

Bead
Embroidered Button:
There is no reason for your
buttons to be bland or boring. Learn to incorporate bead embroidery with a
fabric covered button and make stunning, one-of-a-kind buttons for your garments
as well as coordinating jewelry.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on August 9th, 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and is
$25.00
Kits will be available from the instructor for a nominal fee.

Crystal
Pathways:
Using 2 or more colors of 4
mm Swarovski® crystals you can make this bracelet either dramatic or fanciful.
Once you make one you will want more for all your outfits and for gifts.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on August 16th
from 5:00 to 8:00 and is $25.00.

Wire Wrapped
Coin or Button:
Take a favorite button or a
coin that commemorates your travels and turn it into a stunning jewelry
focal piece in this class. You will learn the basics of wire wrapping in this
class, but it is a good
class for experienced wrappers as well.
This class is being taught by Kathy Bell on August 23rd, 5:00 to 8:00, and is
$25.00.
